EICC claimed that some metal minerals have become the main financial resources for the armed rebels groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa; they engaged in arms sales, continued the bloody conflict with government, ravaged the local residents and therefore they caused international dispute. As a world corporation, Dongguan LianGang Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd declared and promised that we wouldn’t use any metals come from the conflict mining area. Meanwhile, this was already addressed to all our suppliers.
1. Execute Social Environment Responsibility.
2. Don’t use any “conflict minerals” which come from Congo and nations or regions aside of Congo in our products.
3. All vendors must fill in the questionnaire once the products are contained AU/Sn and Ta/W (we don’t use).
4. All above requirements must be transmitted to tier two suppliers.
Conflict metal is the mineral come from the conflict mining area in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its category includes columbite-tantalite, cassiterite, wolframite and gold, etc. They refined Ta, Sn, Au、W, and Co out of these mineral substances, then used for electronic and other products. The metal come from some smelteries will be banned in the near future, thus all key suppliers will be traced back to the metal sources and smelteries in their parts.
